(February 26, 2016 – Columbus, OH) Risk Control Technologies Inc., the industry-leading provider of loss control software solutions for the insurance industry, today announced that the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (“BWC”) will implement its loss control management system to help streamline field safety services and further enhance services provided to employers. With $28 billion in assets, BWC is the largest workers’ compensation state fund in the United States and the second largest underwriter of workers’ compensation insurance among state workers’ compensation funds in the country.
The solution will be deployed using a standardized implementation methodology to deliver the system into production over an 8-week period. Risk Control Technologies is working closely with the BWC team over this period to help them configure the solution to meet their unique needs, which will also afford BWC the flexibility to make ongoing changes in-house as business needs evolve.
The system will enable BWC to:
- Integrate its loss prevention system with other core systems to provide field consultants with a consolidated view of each employer.
- Better manage loss control service delivery and service plans.
- Automate assessment and service related processes to reduce manual tasks.
- Improve the quality and consistency of loss control reports delivered to key stakeholders.
- Enable more effective loss control recommendation management to drive risk improvement.
- Enhance loss control data-mining and reporting capabilities.
One of the phases of the implementation will involve the deployment of tablet devices to the field safety consultants loaded with the Risk Control Technologies application for field data collection.
“We are honored to have been selected by BWC for this initiative,” said David Hanley of Risk Control Technologies, “they are considered leaders in the fields of occupational safety and health and workplace safety, and we are looking forward to working with them to bolster these efforts even further through the use of our technology”.
